Who is behind Friedman Marketing and Public Relations?
Susan Friedman has over 15 years of experience in promotions, special events, marketing and publicity, with special emphasis in media relations. By creating a calculated and strategic PR plan, crafting innovative, well-written press pitches, and building trustworthy relationships with the media, Susan attains press coverage for her clients. Her philosophy is that she is not pleased until the client is pleased.
Susan has serviced an array of clients including restaurants, bars/nightclubs, spas/salons, fashion houses, authors and book signing tours, national festivals, interactive marketing agencies, insurance and software companies and performing arts groups. Such prestigious clients as the Hilton Anatole Hotel, Dallas Symphony Orchestra AT&T Gala, Super Bowl Official After-Parties in Houston, Charbay Winery and Distillery in Napa Valley, and Ghostbar Dallas have received national media recognition as a result of her work.
Her media contacts have led placements in the Wall Street Journal, Elle, In Style Magazine, New York Times, Huffington Post, Associated Press, BBC, Travel + Leisure Magazine, and People Magazine, as well as all of the major print, online and broadcast media outlets in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex.
Working with Burberry’s, Max Mara and other high-end designers, Susan launched her PR career as an intern in London in the fashion industry. After graduating from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, she moved to New York City where she pursued a career in public relations for high profile fashion designers and dance companies. There, she worked with such amazing clients as Mikhail Baryshnikov, The Royal Ballet, Jean Paul Gaultier and Moschino. In Texas, Susan was the Marketing & PR Director for Liberty Noodles and Club Clearview before launching FMPR in 2004.
Susan enjoys adventure traveling, from ice trekking on Patagonia’s glacier tops to white water rafting in Costa Rica and canoeing down the Beagle Channel. She religiously reads Time Magazine as bedtime stories and celebrates her Halloween birthday by skydiving. She named her cat Youpi after a song by her favorite Parisian DJ, Kid Loco.
